Awards of Excellence - Celebrate 08 - Saturday 28 November 2008 

Launched in 2006, the ‘Awards of Excellence’ were established to showcase success and achievement within the Deception Bay and wider Moreton Bay region business community. Our inaugural ‘Awards of Excellence’ Dinner in 2006 proved to be most successful, with approximately 100 guests in attendance. 2007 saw this number increase to more than 160 attendees. Our aim for this year’s event is to attract between 180-200 guests, further expanding our network of local business contacts. To cater for these growing numbers, a new venue has been sought to host the event for 2008.

As a collection of local business associates, we strongly believe in recognising local business achievements throughout the year, culminating in an end of year awards dinner. A decision was made recently to transform our organisation’s name from Deception Bay and Districts Commerce Inc to Moreton Bay Central Commerce. This move reflects the recent council amalgamations and increasing regional membership of our organisation.

Our ‘Awards of Excellence’ Dinner has become the highlight of the business calendar year for Moreton Bay Central Commerce. Local businesses, organisations and their leaders are recognised for their outstanding accomplishments in an environment that draws our business community together, providing guests, nominees, award winners and sponsors with the opportunity to celebrate.
